Abraham, the man of faith?
/I can't remember how young I was when I first learned of Abraham. My first Bible had the classic picture of the long white beard tussled by the wind as Abraham held his right hand high, knife clenched, over the bound and bare son he was about to sacrifice. Isaac's bewildered look was just as I pictured mine - how could this loving father sacrifice his long-awaited son to God, who was also supposed to be a loving-father? There was so much I didn't understand about Abraham! Well, today I have a much different view of both father Abraham and God the father! As Crossroads class works its way through Galatians, I had the chance to examine Abraham and his life in view of God's credited righteousness. Here is the audio of that lesson along with the whiteboard notes I used in class.
